Subi Power Waltz

I just wanted to post about this weird, slightly funny thing that happened to me on the train today. I was standing at the door, waiting to exit at Central, and when the doors opened a slew of people just started moving forward to hop on before I’d even had a chance to get off. I don’t know if this is a worldwide thing, but in Brisbane at least, etiquette is to allow the people on the train to exit before you board. I wasn’t too upset, because people do rude things like that all the time, but there was a lady who wouldn’t have any of it. She stuck her arm out to stop the flow of people onto the train and spoke out in a strong Scottish accent ‘Let the lass off the train’. Her arm must have accidentally cut off another women who was standing behind her, and this other women roughly shoved the Scottish lady aside, with an indignant ‘Excuuuuuuse me’. She tried to push past her, but the Scottish lady pushed her back and started saying something to the other lady. I just got out of there before the hole closed up and I was swallowed by commuters. I did say thankyou over my shoulder but I wish I could have thanked that lady personally for believing so strongly in common courtesy that she nearly got in a punch-up (for a complete stranger).

To that lovely Scottish woman, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I also picked up three rolls of film I had developed today! They were the first three I have taken with this camera, so I was pretty happy with the results. It will take time to get used to the camera. I will post some of them as soon as I fix my scanner!
