This is such a beautiful song, by one of the most talented female musicians at the moment. It’s not fair that St. Vincent is so popular whilst Shara is known by so few, considering their musical background is quite similar. Both have played in various bands and sang in Sufjan Stevens backing band, using this as their launch pad. Her voice leaves me bewildered and breathless. This is a lovely little song on ukulele. I find that a lot of songs on the ukulele can sound childish and, for lack of another word, a little lame. Not this one however.

Anyway, this is a song called ‘The Gentlest Gentleman’ by Shara Worden who performs under the moniker of ‘My Brightest Diamond’. Please give it a listen. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed :)
